Pilot councils for community assets scheme named

The Government has unveiled the 20 councils that will take part in the programme to pilot the transfer of redundant local authority buildings to community groups.

The list, announced by communities minister Hazel Blears yesterday, is made up of councils of a variety of sizes from across England.
