Intolerant charities are 'a matter for the police'

Religious charities that preach hatred or intolerance are a matter for the police, and will not necessarily be removed from the charities register, according to Dame Suzi Leather, chair of the Charity Commission.
Leather told a meeting of the Public Administration Select Committee last week that it was not in the commission's remit to make judgements about different faiths.
