New consultation on enterprise needs
By Helen Warrell, Third Sector, 25 July 2007
The Government will this week consult small social enterprises on whether they are being failed by business support services.
Whitehall's business support simplification team aims to find out whether existing business support is accessible and adequate for the specialist needs of social enterprises. The event, to be hosted by social enterprise support organisation Community Action Network, will take place tomorrow.
"We want to give smaller social enterprises the opportunity to participate in the consultation, influence government policies and have an impact on legislation decisions," said Adele Blakeborough, chief executive of CAN.

Too much emphasis on the business, and not enough on the people who its all for. Economics should be "seen and not heard" for a while.[Report this post]
