Tories demand debate on 'underwhelming' third sector review

The Conservatives plan to force a parliamentary debate on the third sector review if the Government fails to schedule one for the autumn, the shadow charities minister warned today.

Greg Clark said the review, published today, lacked detail: “This is an underwhelming report that conceals more than it reveals. We need a proper debate in the House of Commons to give it the scrutiny it deserves. “For instance, there’s no breakdown of the money promised to the voluntary sector....
