Marie Curie tackles high levels of staff turnover

Marie Curie Cancer Care has overhauled the pay and working conditions in its fundraising department after nearly 40 per cent of its fundraising staff left in one year.

Internal figures from the charity, seen by Third Sector , show that 219 staff - 39 per cent of the total - resigned from the fundraising department in 2005. The charity estimated that this turnover cost the organisation more than £1m. The latest figures from the Chartered Institute of Personnel...
