Volunteer jailed for charity frauds

A Cumbrian woman has been convicted of stealing from two local charities for which she volunteered while awaiting sentencing for stealing from her employer.

Jill Davison, who is a drug addict, was convicted of stealing more than £600 from Brampton Baby Social and almost £2,000 from the Eden Youth Partnership. She was given a 16-month jail sentence. She helped found parent and baby group the Brampton Baby Social in 2005 while awaiting sentencing for...
