Water company wins volunteering accreditation

Yorkshire Water has become the first organisation to be awarded the Investing in Volunteers for Employers quality mark.

The standard, which is funded by Capacitybuilders and coordinated in England by Volunteering England, recognises “excellence in employer-supported volunteering”. According to Volunteering England, the accreditation recognises Yorkshire Water’s commitment to best practice in “supporting and motivating volunteers and their managers, while complementing and enhancing its business values and objectives”.
