Umbrella body to work with LGA on community initiatives

Voluntary sector umbrella body the NCVO and the Local Government Association have signed a concordat that commits both organisations to working together to promote better local communities.

Key commitments include regular meetings between the chairs and chief executives of both organisations, joint submissions in response to government consultations, more sharing of information and a number of measures concerning local devolution, accountability and funding.
