Scottish charities bring in nearly £11bn a year

The 23,784 charities registered in Scotland have a combined annual income of £10.9bn, according to new data from the Scottish Charity Register.

Nineteen charities account for 37 per cent of the sector’s income, and two-thirds, each with an annual income of less than £25,000, account for less than 1 per cent of the sector’s total income.
