Young people land almost £1m

Almost £900,000 of grant funding was made available yesterday to young people wanting to run community projects. The money is part of the second phase of youth volunteering programme vcashpoint.
The scheme, run by youth volunteering charity v, will enable young people aged between 16 and 25 to apply for up to £2,500 to fund projects they have developed. The projects could be anything from running community radio stations to laying on local football tournaments. A total of £870,000 is...
