Another charity applies Gift Aid to shop donations

St Giles Hospice has become the latest charity to apply Gift Aid to donations to its charity shops, in a move that it believes will substantially increase revenues.

The hospice in Lichfield, Staffordshire, will encourage donors to its 14 shops in the county to fill in Gift Aid forms when they donate goods. When the items are sold, the charity will receive an extra 28 per cent on top of the purchase price. Once donors have signed up,...
