Charities can now submit registration applications and governing documents electronically to the Charity Commission.
The new service is initially only for applicant charities using one of the 80 approved governing documents that the commission has approved. It will later be extended to all organisations. The commission is aiming to reduce average registration time to five working days or less by the end of 2008...
