Hub seeks sector's help with occupational standards
By Rosie Walker, Third Sector Online, 7 March 2008
Campaigners and development workers have been asked to help write national occupational standards for their professions.
The Workforce Hub, which wants to help charities get the best out of their staff, is currently seeking members for two steering groups on these subjects.
It is looking for people from across the country who are involved in recruiting and supervising campaigners and development workers, and who have an understanding of the problems that exist.
The standards will provide best practice guidelines and will help recruitment, appraisal and training.
They will be drawn up in a series of meetings in London between May 2008 and July 2009.
Information is available from the Workforce Hub website.
