Supermarket's Red Cross link 'the best ever'

Tesco has claimed that its 2007 fundraising partnership with the British Red Cross has been the most successful one-year tie-up between a corporate and a charity partnership ever.

The supermarket said it had raised £4.4m in 2007 through staff fundraising, a series of initiatives to attract donations from shoppers and product providers, a Christmas single and a top-up from the company’s charity trust.
