ActionAid ups use of text messages

ActionAid is to continue its use of text messages and emails to communicate with donors recruited by means of face-to-face fundraising after a successful pilot in January.

The charity will send messages to younger supporters in the hope of building longer-lasting relationships with them. It will also provide supporters with access to a WAP site featuring videos, ringtones and wallpapers. In the pilot, the number of donors who provided email addresses and phone numbers leapt by 10...
