Charities agree to fuse 'in principle'

The boards of Age Concern and Help the Aged have announced that they agree "in principle" to the case for merging, marking a breakthrough in plans that have now been under consideration for the past decade.
Last week, the two charities confirmed that they were looking at a discussion paper compiled by a working group with members from both organisations (Third Sector, 26 March).
