Restrictions lifted on curious legacy

The Remember a Charity coalition has won the right to do what it wants with a legacy of nearly £1m left to it by an anonymous donor.

The will originally said the money should be used for the benefit of elderly, sick and disabled people. However, the restriction has been removed after talks with the Charity Commission, the donor's solicitors and the Institute of Fundraising.
