Clare Algar has been appointed deputy director of human rights charity Reprieve. Algar was previously a partner at London-based solicitors Collyer Bristow. Her new role was created to enable founder Clive Stafford Smith to concentrate on representing detainees held at the Guantanamo Bay detention camp.
