New London Marathon sponsor announces charity partner

Virgin Money will replace Flora as the London Marathon's lead sponsor from 2010 in a five-year deal worth £17m. The company, which is the financial services division of Richard Branson's Virgin Group, has selected Clic Sargent as its charity partner for 2010.

Clic Sargent, which had 300 runners in the 2008 race and raised £600,000, aims to triple the number of runners taking part and raise £1.5m from the 2010 tie-up.
