Paul Allen has been appointed chief executive of the Abbeyfield Society, the volunteer-led charity that provides sheltered housing for the elderly. He joins from the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust in Reading, where he was deputy chief executive for two-and-a-half years.
