Lobby group wants partners

By Andy Ricketts, Third Sector Online, 2 June 2008

National black and minority ethnic lobby group Voice4Change England has called for voluntary organisations to participate in its campaigning and policy work.

Voice4Change England makes the request in a new publication, which is also aimed at raising the profile of the organisation, which has been involved in lobbying on behalf of BME groups in the voluntary sector for the past three years.

Caryl Agard, chair of Voice4Change’s partnership council, said he had been impressed by the welcome the organisation had received from government, funders and across the sector.

That is a sign that Voice4Change England is widely supported in its vital work, he said. It is important that we turn that goodwill into better outcomes for BME communities. Window-dressing is no longer an option.

Organisations wanting a copy of the leaflet should contact Martin Ball on 020 7843 6131 or email martin@voice4change-england.co.uk.
