Conservatives spell out their policies for the sector

The Conservative Party would replace the Office of the Third Sector with an 'Office for Civil Society' if it were to come into power at the next general election.

The proposal was put forward in a green paper for the voluntary sector, launched by party leader David Cameron in Kent yesterday. The paper, which will go out for consultation across the sector, also proposes legally protecting lottery proceeds for use solely in the sector, allowing central government employees time...
