Grant will encourage democratic participation

The Government has announced a £150,000 grant scheme to encourage more people to participate in public discussions and get more involved in shaping government policy.

The Innovation Fund , launched by the Ministry of Justice , has been set up to award £15,000 to the 10 best proposals from charities, community groups and other NGOs that use approaches such as the internet or face-to-face events to encourage people to become more involved in democracy....
