The dismissal of a York CAB worker has started a sector-wide debate on volunteer disputes.
"To lose one volunteer may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose 28 looks like carelessness." It may not quite be what Oscar Wilde wrote, but these words certainly ring true at York Citizens Advice Bureau. The bureau lost at least 28 of its volunteer advisers when they walked out...
