Charity fundraising video website doubles its target

By Kaye Wiggins, Third Sector Online, 30 October 2009

Seethedifference.org increases five-year goal for donations

A website that shows videos of charities' projects has doubled its fundraising target to £500m over five years.

The site, www.seethedifference.org, will go live next year.

It aims to raise the money, equivalent to 1 per cent of all UK giving, through donations from the public to the charities whose videos are shown on the site.

See the Difference, the charity that runs the site, originally set a target of raising £250m.

It doubled its target last week in response to higher levels of demand from charities than had been anticipated.

It has also announced that music library Audio Network will offer free music to charities to use in their videos for the See the Difference site.
