What's it like to work for a charity in 2010?

By Tristan Donovan, Third Sector, 9 March 2010

Third Sector's annual staff satisfaction survey is now open, in partnership with Birdsong Charity Consulting

This year's Charity Pulse survey has begun, seeking views on what it is like to work for voluntary organisations in 2010.

The annual staff satisfaction survey, run by Third Sector and Birdsong Charity Consulting, builds up a picture of working life in the sector by canvassing the views of staff.

Those who complete the anonymous survey will be entered in a prize draw to win four free coaching sessions from Birdsong Charity Consulting. The deadline for taking part is 16 April and the results will be published in Third Sector in July.

Last year's survey, answered by 798 people, found that voluntary sector employees were more likely to want to stay with their existing employers in 2009 than they were in 2008.

It also found that the number of people who felt they were getting the training they needed was at its lowest since the survey began in 2007.
