A series of collectable pin badges using the toy brand Sylvanian Families will be sold to raise funds for the Stroke Association. More than 70,000 of the badges will be on sale in branches of Barclays bank for £1 each from mid-April.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is asking supporters to host dinner parties to raise funds. The charity has set up a new web page to promote the Dinner4Good campaign, which allows supporters to send email invitations and to monitor how much has been donated online.
Bowel Cancer UK will urge people to organise tea dances to mark Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, which takes place in April. The charity will provide fundraising packs and promotional materials to individuals and clubs organising the events, which are part of a campaign called Let's Get Moving.
Development charity War on Want hosted a comedy night to raise funds for its Love Fashion Hate Sweatshops campaign. The event, which took place in Shepherd's Bush, west London, on 4 March, included performances from comedians Ed Byrne and Janey Godley.
