£1.44m - The charity raised £1.44m from fundraising events and spent £653,000 on organising them. This produced a fundraising ratio of 45p in the pound, compared with 38p the previous year

£4,000 - The cost of a sports wheelchair can be as much as this. Active youngsters often require many pieces of equipment, and the average annual sports grant is between £2,000 and £10,000

10% - The approximate percentage of pensionable salary the charity contributes to employees' pension schemes
