Online campaign to find trustees

Nathalie Thomas

The Governance Hub and Volunteering England are asking charities to register their trustee vacancies in preparation for a public trustee recruitment campaign in January.

Charities that register posts on will benefit from a national advertising campaign run alongside the Charity Commission.

Local volunteer centres will then match charities with members of the public who express an interest.

The initiative is based on last year's Get On Board campaign, which resulted in 2,500 registrations.

According to Jolanta Lasota, chief executive of the Governance Hub, the public was quick to sign up, but this year's partners want to ensure there are enough vacancies to satisfy interest.
