Read this week's Third Sector

The first big interview with new third sector minister Kevin Brennan and a survey of the views of 100 chief executives are the highlights in this week's Third Sector magazine.

Brennan tells reporter Paul Jump that the sector's funding is safe in the current spending round and warns charities against being "hugged by a Tory." An interview with his Conservative counterpart Nick Hurd will follow in next week's edition.

Charity chief executives are pleased with government policies but disappointed by the way they are implemented, according to the wide-ranging survey by former Futurebuilders chief executive Richard Gutch. In the first of two articles, he focuses on the ten subjects that keep them awake at night.

Catch22, the new name for merged youth charities Rainer and Crime Concern, comes under critical scrutiny from branding specialists, and we canvass the views of major grant-makers about the coming recession. The At Work section  ranges from  Susan Dolton of the Musicins Benevolent Fund writing about her week to John Burnell's advice on dealing with staff complaints about office conditions.
