14,804 charities on the Charity Commission's register say they act as umbrella or resource bodies

571 registered during 2012, including Animal Lifeline Wales, London Charity News and the Soapbox Training Trust

150 have annual incomes of more than £10m, including Birdlife International, Homeless Link and the Tate Foundation

390 were removed from the register in 2012, including Narcolepsy UK, the Central Council for Amateur Theatre and the Lifeline Support Community

110 have registered so far in 2013, including Berkshire County Sports Partnership and the People Supporting People Group

1,490 are late in filing their most recent documents with the commission.
