Robin Osterley is appointed chief executive of the Charity Retail Association

The Charity Retail Association has appointed Osterley as its chief executive. He previously held the same role at Supporters Direct, the membership organisation for football supporter trusts.

The environmental charity Rewilding Britain has welcomed David Balharry as Scotland director. He joins from the Scottish government, where he was a branch head in the agriculture and rural development division.

Andy Atkins, former chief executive of Friends of the Earth, has been appointed to the same role at the environmental charity A Rocha UK. He starts in January.

The Rainy Day Trust, the benevolent society for people in the home improvement industry, has appointed Bryan Clover as its first chief executive. He joins from Turn2us, where he was director of transformational planning.

The social action charity vInspired has appointed Jessica Taplin as chief executive. She will join in the spring from the same role at Get Connected, which runs a helpline for people under 25.

The international development charity Habitat for Humanity Great Britain has appointed Meryl Davies as its new chief executive. She was national director at Right to Play UK.

The Elizabeth Foundation, which provides support to deaf babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and their families, has promoted Julie Hughes from director of children and family services to chief executive.

Kate Paradine has been appointed chief executive of the criminal justice charity Women in Prison. She was national quality lead at CRI, which provides support for people facing addiction, homelessness and abuse.

The children's communication charity I Can has appointed Bob Reitemeier as chief executive. He will join in January from the same role at the Essex Community Foundation.

Vinny Smith has joined the Meningitis Research Foundation as chief executive. He came from the consultancy Stand Consulting, where he was director.

Nicolas Mounard has been appointed chief executive of Farm Africa, which supports smallholders in east Africa. He is managing director of the development through trading NGO Twin and its coffee company Twin Trading.

Joe Jenkins, director of engagement at Friends of the Earth, will join the Children's Society in January as director of fundraising and supporter engagement.
