Rydström migrates away from pet charity

Veterinary charity PDSA is looking for a new director general after Marilyn Rydström announced that she is to retire later this year.

Rydström will depart in the summer, after nine years in the role. She will also step down from PDSA’s board of trustees.

During her time at the charity, Rydström oversaw the expansion of PDSA’s PetAid services across the UK and into Northern Ireland for the first time.

Her most recent initiative has been another first in PDSA’s 90-year history – the introduction of a range of preventive services.

”I have enjoyed nine most wonderful years working with PDSA,” she said. “PDSA is a highly professional organisation with committed staff and volunteers, without whom the development and successes of my years at the helm would not have been possible.”
