Thousands of people across the UK will collect sponsorship for dressing in red clothing or accessories on 25 February to raise money for the British Heart Foundation.

National Wear Red Day is among the fundraising events marking the charity's Red for Heart campaign, which takes place throughout February, designated as National Heart Month.

The campaign raised £2.1m last year and the BHF is hoping to achieve a similar amount this year, which is the foundation's 50th anniversary.
