SNAPSHOT: On the move

Northern Ireland's top comedienne Nuala McKeever posed outside Belfast City Hall last week to mark 25 years of the mobile breast cancer detection unit run by Action Cancer. McKeever, who has her own show on Ulster TV, acts as the ambassador for the mobile unit in succession to Gloria Hunniford. The unit tours Northern Ireland offering breast awareness advice, smear tests and health promotion information. Last year, nearly 2,500 women used the unit, with many later visiting Action Cancer breast clinics for mammograms and further advice. Liz Atkinson, Action Cancer's director of services, said: "The mobile unit is about extending availability of mammography to women of 45 years and older."
