Social Enterprise Access to Investment project launched

Scheme will offer experts a percentage of the investments they help secure

A pilot programme to help social enterprises attract investment has been announced by the Office of the Third Sector, in partnership with the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts.

The Social Enterprise Access to Investment programme, which will last for a year, will offer social finance experts a payment worth 5 per cent of any investment they help organisations secure.

"The pilot will develop and test a number of key principles and design approaches," said a spokesman for the Office of the Third Sector. "The learning will be made available to the broader social investment community throughout the programme."
