Social enterprise plans to be released

Capacitybuilders will next month unveil plans for new provisions to support social enterprises.

The proposals, which will form part of a strategy for the delivery of the ChangeUp programme, are expected to focus on a three-year funding programme for enterprises, starting in 2008. The project will be reviewed in May 2009.

Simon Hebditch, chief executive of Capacitybuilders, said: "Social enterprise is a vital part of the sector. We are looking at ways in which we can provide support for its infrastructure needs."

Details of the plans will feature in the Capacitybuilders report Destination 2014, which will be launched at the organisation's annual conference on 3 July.
