Starship enterprise

Performers braved the cold during Leicester Comedy Festival last week at an event partly funded by a local social enterprise.

The show was organised to celebrate the urban renaissance of Braunstone, a suburb on the edge of the city and one of the UK's most deprived communities.

Performers from street theatre company Plasticiens Volants operated large inflatables to act out the story of a pearl lost in the depths of the ocean. Funds for the event were provided by the social enterprise Braunstone Community Association and Arts Council England.
