- How many fundraisers are there in your team?
I work alongside two full-time fundraisers in our City of London offices. We are supported by a dedicated development council made up of senior executives.
- What does the team do?
We raise funds from a variety of sources, including trusts and foundations, corporate partners, individuals and events. We are passionate about stewardship. We have recently completed a three-year business plan and strategic fundraising plan, improved our marketing material for potential partners and launched a 10 for 10 Challenge of community fundraising events in our 10th anniversary year.
- How much do you raise?
Our fundraising target this year is £507,000, up 17 per cent from last year. In 2012/13, we increased turnover by £98,000, or 29 per cent. We had a large donation from KPMG and got £30,000 after I won the beauty products company Clarins' Most Dynamisante Woman of the Year Award.
- What's in the pipeline?
We aim to double the reach of our programme by 2016 so that we can deliver more than 1,000 workshops annually. We will achieve this by growing our income streams from major donors.
- What's it like in the office?
Our team of 10 share an office that allows open communication and effective knowledge-sharing. Everyone is passionate about what we do.
