Teresa Nightingale is the new general manager at the World Cancer Research Fund.
Nightingale, who will oversee the day-to-day running of the charity, has been with the organisation since 2001, most recently as head of fundraising. Nightingale replaces Lucie Galice, who had been in the role since January 2007 and has left to become general manager of WCRF France.
"Having worked in a number of different roles for WCRF UK, I already have a good understanding of the way the charity works," said Nightingale. "My experience of heading the fundraising department will also be valuable as, like everyone else in the charity sector, one of our big focuses will be on maintaining income levels while the economy is in recession."
