What's new - Your round-up of the latest fundraising campaigns

TreeHouse, the national charity for autism education, is teaming up with Save the Children to raise awareness of autism by attempting to break the world record for the longest game of Chinese whispers.

Representatives from the Guinness Book of Records will monitor 1,200 children from schools in Milton Keynes and north London when they attempt the record at Arsenal Football Club's Emirates Stadium on 11 July. The charities also aim to raise funds for building the National Centre for Autism Education in north London. The 12 participating schools are holding fundraising initiatives in the run-up to the event, each with a target of £5,000.

The Marie Curie Hospice in Hampstead is raising money with local estate agent Greene & Co. Staff are encouraged to use shopping website easyfundraising. co.uk and up to 15 per cent of what they spend will be donated to Marie Curie.

Rainforest Foundation UK has developed an online rainforest that allows supporters to donate £25 to own and develop an acre of forest. Donations help to protect real rainforest in Africa and South America.

Disability North is asking supporters to help raise £20,000 by taking part in a sponsored abseil from the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead on 7 September. Participants, who must be over 16, are each asked to raise £95 for the event.

The research charity Against Breast Cancer is holding a women's cricket tournament. Ten teams are taking part, including the Royal Navy Women's XI. Teams have to pay £20 to participate.
