Cord, the charity that supports people affected by violent conflict in developing countries, is asking supporters to 'twin' their toilets with latrines in Burundi (above). Donors pay £60 to twin their toilet with one in the Giharo Commune of Province. The money will pay for new toilets to be built. Participants receive framed certificates with their chosen latrines, including their grid reference on Google Maps.

Unicef has launched a website where supporters can dedicate their wedding lists to helping children around the world. Couples can set up personalised Big Day Lists and compile gifts for their guests to choose from, such as school pencils or water pumps.

Breast Cancer Campaign is asking supporters of all ages and fitness levels to take part in the Generation Walk. The five-mile event takes place on Hampstead Heath in London on 5 July and will raise funds for medical research. Entry costs £5 and those under 12 go free. Participants are encouraged to wear pink.
