Anglo-Scottish meeting in offing

The Institute of Fundraising has invited seven Scottish charities and their counterparts south of the border to convene for the first cross-border working group for some years.

Fundraising directors from charities including the Scottish SPCA and the RSPCA, Sense and Sense Scotland, Leonard Cheshire UK and Leonard Cheshire Scotland will meet representatives from the Institute of Fundraising and the Scottish institute in London. They will discuss issues facing charities that operate on both sides of the border.

Lindsay Boswell, chief executive of the IoF, will chair the meeting. Those invited must register their interest before 28 September.

Anthony Bauman, head of fundraising at the RSPCA, said: "The most important thing is that you have an agreement with your opposite number across the border about fundraising."
