Announcing PIMCO Foundation Europe's 2018 Grant Programme

PIMCO PIMCO

We believe in operating globally but also in supporting local organisations in the communities in which we live and work. Since establishing the PIMCO Foundation in 2000, we have worked to support hundreds of local nonprofits. Our Foundations in the U.S., U.K. and Germany support communities via our Local Grants Programme.

2018 Request for Proposals

The PIMCO Foundation Europe is currently seeking proposals for its 2018 Grant Programme. This year’s programme will provide funding of up to £20,000 for charities which align with one of the Foundation’s giving themes:

Education

• Provide support for targeted academic and social/emotional initiatives that serve under-performing pupils; programmes may also include parental academic involvement

• Initiatives which contribute to childhood reading/writing advancement for underprivileged, minority, and/or immigrant children, and children with special needs.

Employability

• Invest in job and entrepreneurship training that will lead young adults (ages 16-24) to quality employment.

Homelessness/Housing

• We aim to support organisations that provide temporary residence to families and individuals experiencing homelessness and rough sleeping. We will consider programs that offer emergency shelter and transitional housing – both with supportive services.

How to Apply

On 13 August, organisations are able to access the application materials via the online application portal, which will be made available on PIMCO’s UK Giving Programmes webpage. Organisations will then have seven weeks to submit an application, with a due date of 28 September. Notifications of awards will be made in early December. Funds will be distributed in December 2018 for a 2019 programme year.

Applications must include a detailed narrative to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposal with such information as qualifications of the agency and key personnel, implementation plan, timeline, evaluation and metrics and financial information.
