Following the success of its Community Campaign earlier in the year, in which three charities were awarded funding totalling £25,000, Ansvar Insurance has launched a £45,000 donation pot for charities whose focus is to educate children and young people about making healthy lifestyle choices.
There are three funding pots of £45,000 to be won, to be split over three years. The successful charities will receive £15,000 a year for three years to support specific projects promoting healthy lifestyles to children and young people. The funding period runs from January 2022 until December 2024.
Applications opened on 11 October and will close on 12 November. To apply, registered charities need to email firstname.lastname@example.org with 500 words or less on how they will use the funding to support their work over the next three years.
An independent panel of judges will be looking for clear examples of how children and young people are benefitting from current projects or programmes, or how they will benefit if the initiative is about to start. If it’s an existing project, how would the funding take it to a new level or bring a creative and challenging new idea to fruition?
Examples of eligible projects could be ones that promote regular physical activity, mental wellbeing or healthy eating, as well as programmes that teach children and young people about the effects of drugs and alcohol and how to make responsible choices.
“We know how much the money will impact projects being run across the country,” said Sarah Cox, managing director of Ansvar. “The judges are particularly keen to receive entries that provide a detailed outline of how the money would be spent over the three-year period.”
