Retirement and appointment announced at Baring Asset Management

Baring Asset Management has announced that Michael Hughes, its chief investment officer, will retire in October. He will be replaced by Marino Valensise, who is currently head of the firm's fixed income and currency team. James Codrington will continue to lead Baring's charities division.
