Asian Disaster Response: Care founder killed by tsunami

Care International UK's founder, Robin Needham, was killed by the tsunami when it hit Thailand on Boxing Day. He was on holiday with his family at the Golden Buddha Beach in southern Thailand when the wave struck. His wife and four children survived. Needham started working with Care in 1980 and founded the charity's UK branch in 1985. He went on to work with the charity in Bangladesh and Nepal.
