Barry Le Grys joins Blesma as chief executive

Blesma, the charity for wounded and limbless servicemen and women, has appointed Le Grys as chief executive. He joins after a career in the armed forces, most recently as a defence adviser on secondment to the Foreign Office in Canada.

Duncan Shrubsole, director of policy and external affairs at the homelessness charity Crisis, has been appointed director of policy, partnerships and communications at the Lloyds Bank Foundation.

Maree Aldam, general manager at the Glasgow-based International Network of Street Papers, has been promoted to chief executive. The charity supports The Big Issue and more than 120 similar social enterprise publications in 40 countries.

The Building and Social Housing Foundation, a research charity that promotes sustainable development, has appointed David Ireland as director. He will join in May from Empty Homes.

Nicola Hibbert has joined CMT UK as fundraising manager. The charity supports people with the rare inherited condition Charcot-Marie-Tooth. She joins from the Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel, where she was a special events coordinator.
