BBC Children in Need has opened a new summer grants round for organisations working with disadvantaged children and young people.

Charities have until 15 July to apply for grants of up to £10,000.

This is the first time Children in Need has had a summer application deadline.

"Experience tells us that grants for very modest amounts are a vital resource," said Sheila Jane Malley, director of grants and policy at Children in Need.

For more information about applying, email pudsey@bbc.co.uk or call 020 8008 3174.
