Watch the debate at Big Fundraising Questions Live
What should the next government do to boost fundraising? Is the public sceptical about what happens to their donations? Is the self-regulation of fundraising working well?
These are some of the questions to be discussed on Monday 13 April by an expert panel at Big Fundraising Questions Live, a debate at the Royal Society of Arts in London that will be streamed simultaneously below from 9.30am. The panel, who will answer questions from an invited audience, includes:
Lord Hodgson of Astley Abbotts, the Conservative peer who recently reviewed the workings of charity law
Cathy Pharoah, visiting professor of charity funding at Cass Business School
Lawrie Simanowitz, a partner at the law firm Bates Wells Braithwaite and a board member of the Fundraising Standards Board
Louise Parkes, director of fundraising at the British Heart Foundation
Mike Wade, director of fundraising and communications at the National Deaf Children’s Society, a trustee of the Institute of Fundraising and chair of its policy advisory board.
